BIG BANG “The Sexiest Band” Made it to the TOP 5 Worldwide Act Nominees

The result for worldwide act Asia pacific has just been released. The winner is BIG BANG from Korea.

This Band is the sexiest Band in Korea as mentioned by MTV EMA. They won many awards in Japan and also in their homeland Korea.

They are the first Asian Band that ever reached US iTune Top 100 pop chart album and peaked at #9.

Tonight, Asia Pacific had chosen them to be it representatives for The MTV EMAs 2011,Belfast.

They have defeated six other nominees:

  1. Indonesian heartthrob Agnes Monica who was one of the toughest candidates and was supported by many international stars like Grammy Award winning legend Michael Bolton, Mike Posner and Timbaland.
  2.  The Four times World Music Awards winner Jay Chou from Taiwan who is also a star of Hollywood Box Office Movie “Green Hornet”.
  3. Jane Zhang from China who is often mentioned as Asian Mariah Carey and is the most successful female artist in China.
  4. EXILE from Japan
  5. SIA from Australia
  6. Gotye from Australia

They are all the best artist in Asia pacific, But there must be only one winner in a competition. And this Korean Sexiest Band is The winner.

    This award is a popularity contest not a test of thier talent because people could vote 100 times everysingle day and not to mention different ip adresses. i guess BB has a larger fan base then the rest. Anyways im happy that they won. I was hoping it was going to be either Jay Chou or BB

    • People just need to DEAL with it, BIGBANG won, If Agnes Monica is so loved and so talented why didn’t she end up representing Asia? This proves that you don’t need famous artists supporting you as long as you have your fans doing so. BIGBANG is amazing and talented and I hope they win,
