Boy band asal Dublin, Irlandia WESTLIFE akhirnya resmi bubar setelah kurang lebih 14 tahun berkarir. Westlife merupakan salah satu Boy band yang paling diminati oleh remaja Indonesia. Pada awal tahun 2000 Westlife untuk pertama kalinya menelurkan Album “Swear it Again” yang langsung menjadi Hit di berbagai belahan dunia termasuk Indonesia.

Boyband ini juga pernah berkolaborasi dengan Sherina Munaf pada saat masih menjadi penyanyi cilik lewat lagu “I Have a Dream” milik ABBA yang di rilis ulang oleh Westlife.

Westlife awalnya terdiri atas lima personel yaitu: Brian Mc Fadden, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrn dan Shane Filan. Namun pada tahun 2004 Brian Mc Fadden memutuskan keluar dari band dan bersolo karir.

Menurut Wikipedia, Westlife sampai saat ini telah menjual lebih dari 44 juta album di seluruh dunia. Keputusan Westlife untuk bubar pastinya sangat di sesalkan oleh para penggemarnya di seluruh dunia termasuk Indonesia yang merupakan salah satu basis Fans Fanatic Westlife.

Mungkin kita masih teringat bagaimana Hysteria dan Euphoria para  pecinta Westlife di tanah air setiap kali band ini menggelar Konser.

Kini Westlife akan segera bubar. Suara nyaring Mark Feehily dan Shane Filan tidak akan lagi bisa kita nikmati bersama group Band Westlife.
