Artika Sari Devi Puteri Indonesia to Miss Universe

Artika Sari Devi was the winner of Puteri Indonesia 2004 ( Miss Indonesia universe) representing Bangka Belitung province. She then represented Indonesia in the Miss Universe 2005.
Her participation in Miss Universe 2005 brought her up to the Top 15 Finalist in that beauty pageant contest. She was the first and the only Puteri Indonesia that ever made it to the Final of Miss Universe.

In 2006, She played in Garin Nugroho Musical Film Opera Java. That film was nominated Best film and Best actress in Toronto Film Festival 2006, London Film Festival 2006, Venice Film Festival and Best Movie Indonesian Film Festival 2006.

Sherina Munaf The phenomenal Indonesian Singer and Actress

Sherina Munaf is the only artist that often compares to Agnes Monica.

Same like Agnes Monica, Sherina Munaf also attained fame in a very young age as a kid singer at age 9.

In the early 2000. She was such a phenomenal  kid singer in Indonesia. Her album Andai Aku Besar Nanti (If I Grow UP) achieved a huge success in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore. That album awarded Best Child Song and Best Children Album Indonesia Music Awards 1999.

In 2000, Sherina started her debut as a children actress by playing a role as her own name Sherina in Petualangan Sherina (The Adventure of Sherina) directed by Mira Lesmana. This film brought Sherina to the List of Top Indonesian Child Actress and won The Most Talented Child Actress Asia Pacific Film Festival 2000. The sounds tract of that film was also sang by Sherina and again achieved a huge success and make Sherina won Indonesia Music Awards for Best Child Song, Best Children Album, and Best Child Singer 2000. The film it elf was called as the re-incarnation of Children Film Industry in Indonesia.

Her popularity isn’t just in Indonesia but also in the whole Asia regions. The Asia Week Magazine and The Asia Times mentioned her as The Asian News Maker of 2000. Even BBC London exclusively interviewed Sherina for her achievement as a child singer. Her Singing talent was also impressed the top irish Boyband WESTLIFE and decided to re-record one of their song I Have A Dream in duet with the 9 years old Sherina Munaf for the Asian Market.

In 2001, Sherina was interviewed by Adrian Brown in Focus Asia programme in STAR TV Hongkong and mentioned Sherina as The Princess of POP.

Sherina was and still the only child Singer in Indonesia who achieved popularity regionally at age 9.

In 2007, Sherina launched her first teen album Primadonna. This album is topping the charts in Indonesia and was a proof that Sherina is not just a Singer but she is a real musician. She wrote most of the songs in that Album and she is a great pianist as well.

In 2010, many media in Indonesia mentioned Sherina is the most expensive artist and Model in the country. She is the brand icon for Maybelline,  Panasonic, Clear and many more.

Early this year, Sherina was participated in helping Japan tsunami victims by performing with other Asia’s top Singers in Hongkong. According to Sherina in a TV interview, she was privately invited by Jackie Chan to be involved in this programme. Jackie chan and Sherina were friends since both stars Involved in helping Aceh Tsunami victims. Jackie Chan himself likes Sherina because it is so rare to find a great singer who plays a great piano.

Sherina is one of the most promising artists of Indonesia to make Indonesian music talents to be recognized worldwide. But, Sherina seems to be more interested in her education. Hmmm. That’s good. But we’re still supporting everything you do Sherina. GBU.

DIAN SASTRO The Most successful Actress In Indonesia

Dian sastro wardoyo is one of the best young actresses in Indonesia.

She started her career as a model in 1996, after winning the model search contest held by a teen magazine GADIS.

Dian was first entered film industry by playing a role as DAYA in Pasir Berbisik (2001) with the legend of FFI (equal to OSCAR) winner Christine Hakim.  Dian was awarded Best actress in Deauville Asian Film Festival and Singapore International Film Festival 2002 for this film.

In 2002, Dian starred Ada Apa Dengan Cinta with Nicholas Saputra. This film was called as the reborn of Indonesian Film Industry. It achieved a huge success in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore and Dian herself was awarded Best Actress FFI (Equal Academy award in Indonesia) 2004, Best actress in Hawaii International Film Festival 2003, Best actress Festival Film Bandung  2003 and Most favorite Actress in Malaysian Film Festival 2003.

In 2005, Dian appeared in Malaysian film Puteri gunung Ledang. Still in 2005, Dian starred Ungu Violet with Rizky Hanggono and Banyu Biru with Tora Sudiro.  Her role as Sula in Banyu Biru awarded Most Promising Actress Asia Pacific Film Festival 2005. Meanwhile, her role as Kalin in Ungu Violet awarded Most Favorite Actress in MTV Asia Movie Award Singapore 2005 and Most Favorite Actress MTV Indonesia Movie Awards 2005.

In 2008, Dian played in 3 Doa 3 Cinta as Donna with Nicholas Saputra. Again Dian received several International Awards for this Film such as: Best Supporting Actress in Bali International Film Festival 2009, Silver Award for Most Leading Female Performance in Pusan International Film Festival 2009 and Actress of The Year ELLE Film Magazine USA Award 2009.

In 2009, Dian Played Drupadi with Nicholas Saputra. In this film, Dian was awarded Most Favorite Actress USA Magazine Indonesian Award.

In 2010, Dian played Fana with Dude Herlino and Cinta di Kabut Toba with Nicholas Saputra.

Aside from that, Dian was also the brand icon of Sunsilk, L’oreal and LUX for regional market.

SHANDY SANDORO AMAZED THE WORLD IN GERMANY IDOL AND NEW WAVE LATVIA SONG FESTIVAL 2009

Shandy Sandoro is one of the finest male singer that Indonesia has ever had. He was one of the contestants of  Indonesian Idol 2005 but he did not make it to the Final. According to Shandy on a TV interview one of the judges of Indonesian Idol said that He can not sing.hmmm.
Anyway, the next year Shandy moved to Germany to study Architecture.

2007, he again try his luck in music by attending Germany Idol 2007.What a surprise! He made it up the Top 5.(Who’s that Indonesian Idol Judge that said Shandy can’t sing?) . Hmm, there must be something wrong.
Since then, Shandy began to be popular in Germany.

In 2009, Shandy tried to widen his way to the music industry by attending the biggest song festival in Europe The NEW WAVE song festival held in Latvia. Here is the proof that Shandy is one of  Asia’s finest singer. He amazed everyone in all of his performances from the very beginning up to the end. He is the winner of this Europe biggest Singing contest “New Wave song festival”.

After that, Shandy released his first international studio Album entitled “WHY DON’T WE”. This album consist of 10 English songs and 2 Indonesian songs. Some of his Songs were topping the charts in Europe.
In 2010, Shandy went back to Indonesia and start entering Indonesian music industry. His first single “Malam biru” featuring Indah dewi pertiwi was topping the charts for months. And was one of the best selling and most downloaded song on RBT.

In 2010, Shandy again made us proud by being the only Asian Singer that ever been invited to perform at Dianne warren‘s show in Palladium Theater Hollywood, Los Angeles. Hmm, Isn’t he amazing?
We’re now hoping that Shandy sandoro can enter American Music Industry soon. Amen.
